Muscat: Oman on Wednesday registered 797 recoveries of COVID-19 patients in a span of 24 hours, with a recovery rate at 94.6 per cent.
It also reported 293 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Sultanate during the past 24 hours, in addition to 12 new COVID-19-related death cases.
This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 297,724 in the Sultanate.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths reached 3889, the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry added that 797 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 281,724 recoveries.
The Ministry also stated that 30 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalised COVID-19-infected patients stands at 434, of them 194 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
