Muscat: An Omani company has designed the first mobile phone in the Sultanate.
The phone is called 'Mersal', whose design fits the requirements of modern phones and approved international standards.
Engineer Rashid Al Nasri, CEO of Mersal Company, said: "The phone has been completely designed and made by young Omanis, and is the result of years of extensive efforts."
"The device works with the latest version of the Android system, Android 11 and weighs 215 grams, with a 10-inch HD screen, and a memory space of 128 GB. Mersal works with the fifth generation system," Al Nasri added in an interview with Oman tv.
