Consumers Protection Authority official follows up on automobile store in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate to ensure that consumers obtain their rights and price stability.

Muscat: The Consumers Protection Authority (CPA) has followed up on car washes, cleaning and polishing facilities, repair workshops and auto parts stores in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate to ensure that consumers obtain their rights and price stability.

"The Consumer Protection Department in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate continues to implement its control plan in the Wilayat of Sur, where car washes, cleaning and polishing facilities have been followed up to ensure that consumers obtain their rights and to ensure that the washing prices previously approved by the authority are not raised," CPA said in a statement.

The department also monitored the agreements made between consumers and service providers, and the issued invoices for vehicles submerged in valleys and affected by the recent climatic conditions. Many reports and complaints were resolved.

The CPA department in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate also followed up on vehicle repair workshops and auto parts stores to ensure the availability of parts and ensure affordable pricing, while asking their owners to abide by the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations, and stressed that violators will have to deal with legal procedures.
