COVID-19: Immunisation campaign resumes in Oman

Muscat: The Directorate General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate has resumed on Sunday the vaccination campaign for people aged 18 and over at the dedicated vaccination centres.

"On Sunday, the  Directorate General of Health Services in the Governorate of Muscat resumed immunisation against COVID-19 for the target group 18 years and over, at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre and Al Sahel Health Centre in the Wilayat of Quriyat, for people who have pre-booked appointments through the Tarassud+ app," the Directorate General said in a statement.

Oman News Agency confirmed that a number of people targeted in the campaign praised the ease and smoothness of the procedures followed to receive the vaccine, appreciating the efforts made by the government in taking care of the health and safety of citizens and residents in the Sultanate.

"Some of the supervisors and officials of vaccination centres in the governorates expressed their satisfaction with the turnout witnessed by the centres since morning, stressing that the turnout to receive the vaccine confirms the great community awareness about the importance of vaccination against the disease," added ONA.

The Ministry of Health calls on the target group to pre-book appointments through the electronic self-registration service via the Tarassud + application or through the link- Covid19.moh.gov.om  before heading to the vaccination centres in order to ensure a safe and accessible immunisation process for all.
