Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management has been responding to the effects of the weather situation.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "Eng Abdullah bin Mubarak Al Hashimi, coordinator of the basic services sector at the National Committee for Emergency Management, confirms that the sector is coordinating field response efforts with regard to the effects of the weather situation that affected a number of the Sultanate’s governorates in various sectors."
The coordinator of the basic services sector at the National Committee for Emergency Management said in a statement to the ONA that the tasks of the committees were launched in accordance with the directives issued and under the supervision of the heads of the sub-committees for managing emergency cases in the governorates.
He added that efforts were coordinated to respond to the effects of the weather situation by activating emergency response plans in all parties in the sub-basic service sectors.
