Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha from Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah al-Khalili, Chairman of the State Council reading as follows:
Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, May the Almighty Allah protect you,
Acting in person and on behalf of members and personnel of the State Council, we are all honoured to greet Your Majesty on the blessed occasion of Eid Al Adha, praying to the Almighty Allah that this occasion finds Your Majesty in good health and happiness and wishing that that Oman and the rest of the Arab and Islamic nation would enjoy further growth, prosperity, harmony and concordance.
Your Majesty,
The Eid is back again when the whole of humanity is still suffering the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic that lasted two years. Despite efforts made to curb the pandemic and diminish its impacts, new strains of the virus continue to challenge government plans.
Yet, the State Council observes and appreciates the sincere efforts that the government has made, represented by the Covid-19 Supreme Committee, to stem the spread of the virus. We greatly value the considerable moral and material support that the Supreme Committee and public health service facilities receive from Your Majesty to address the pandemic and alleviate its impacts.
Your Majesty,
We would like to take this opportunity to express our pride over the efforts Your Majesty has been undertaking at regional and humanitarian levels to address all types of risks so that humanity would enjoy a safe natural life with minimum suffering for countries and peoples. It is a splendid role played by the Sultanate, deriving insights from its principles of faith that rejuvenate with every new occasion.
Eid Al Adha is notably an aspect of voluntary giving and it promotes high humanitarian values in a Muslim’s life, making it a source of security for the life of mankind.
May the Almighty Allah reward Your Majesty’s efforts abundantly and may He accept all your noble deeds.
Happy Eid, Your Majesty.
