Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued his special pardon to more than 300 inmates convicted in various cases on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, gives a special pardon to a group of prison inmates convicted in various cases. An official source at the Royal Oman Police stated that the number of inmates pardoned was around 345, including 131 foreign nationals."
