Muscat: Rescue teams managed to evacuate over 30 families whose homes were affected by heavy rain.
South Al Sharqiyah Governorate's Civil Defense and Ambulance Department rescue teams (CDAA) continue evacuation in the Bilad Sur area. They were able to move 31 families to safe places, and provide support and shelter, in cooperation with the relief and shelter sector in the governorate.
"The authority followed up on a video clip circulating on social media on the rise in the water level in a house in the Wilayat of Sur, South Sharqiyah Governorate," CDAA said in a statement.
The authority then contacted the citizen to provide support and shelter for him and all other residents whose homes were flooded.
Rescue teams are evacuating people from homes damaged due to the air depression, the statement added.
