Muscat: Larsen & Toubro has secured a major order from Oman Electricity Transmission Company to build a 400/132 kv grid station at Qabel and associated works.
The company’s construction division has also secured two more orders from reputed customers for design, supply, construction and commissioning of five132 kV substations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the company said in a statement.
The division has won a contract from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. for strengthening the sub-transmission and distribution network in the urban area of Nadia district, West Bengal under the Integrated Power Development Scheme.
The total value of these projects in power transmission and distribution business is Rs.11.69 billion.
The construction arm of L&T said that it received orders worth Rs.21.7 billion across its various business segments.
An engineering, procurement and construction order has been bagged from Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage and Infrastructure Corporation Limited, Government of Rajasthan, with treatment facilities spread across three towns namely Bharatpur, Gangapur and Hindaun. The scope includes constructing 354 km of sewerage network, providing more than 40,000 house connections and building eight sewage treatment plants of total capacity 24.75 million litres per day (MLD) using Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology.
The division has secured an order worth Rs. 3.20 billion from a renowned client to construct commercial and residential towers in Mumbai. The scope of works include civil shell and core, and finishing works.
In addition to above, the business has secured additional orders worth ₹3.21 billion from the existing clients across various business segments.
