Muscat: Undersecretary of Heritage Affairs met the Ambassador of India to Oman.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said: "His Excellency Eng Ibrahim Said Al Kharusi, Undersecretary of Heritage Affairs, received His Excellency Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate, in his office today."
During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the two countries regarding antiquities and museums were discussed and the Sultanate's support to the Republic of India to include some archaeological sites on the World Heritage List also came up.
This will be discussed during the meeting of the 44th session of the UNESCO, World Heritage Committee that is scheduled to be held virtually on July 16-30, 2021. The meeting will be attended by the Director General of Antiquities and the Director General of Museums at the Ministry.
