Muscat: Oman will still be affected by the upper air trough over the Arabian Sea.
A report issued online by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said: "The latest weather charts and analysis of the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre show that the upper air trough over the Arabian Sea continues to affect most of the Sultanate causing clouds with chances of rain and thundershowers associated with fresh downdraft winds, the flow of wadies and local flash floods over Governorate of Dhofar, Governorate of Al-Wusta, Al Hajar Mountains and their adjoining areas."
Sea state is expected to be rough along Arabian Sea coasts with wave height ranging from 3 to 4 metres, whereas along Oman Sea coast it will be moderate with a maximum wave height of 2 metres.
"The Civil Aviation Authority advises the public to take precautions during thundershowers, the flow of wadis and unstable sea state and to follow its latest weather bulletins and reports," added the statement.
