Work on dam nearing completion in Oman

Muscat: 80 per cent of the construction work of Wadi Al Arashi dam located in the Wilayat of Yanqul, Al Dhahirah Governorate has been completed.

Oman News Agency (ONA) said that the construction work of Wadi Al Arashi dam in the Wilayat of Yanqul reached 80 percent, implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources, along with civilian and community efforts. Solid materials will be installed to ensure the strength of the dam is optimal.

"This dam aims to reduce water scarcity in the region due to the divergence of rainfall, causing water shortage for agriculture and home use," ONA added.
