Seeb records highest COVID-19 deaths

Muscat: Seeb recorded 12 new COVID-19 deaths during the last 72 hours, the highest number of deaths reported in the country on Sunday, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The Tarassud+ app, which provides daily updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country, reported that Muscat Governorate recorded 25 deaths due to COVID-19. Twelve were in Wilayat Seeb, both Wilayats Muscat and Bausher reported five deaths each while Wilayats of Muttrah, Al Amerat and Quriyat recorded one death each.

Outside the Governorate of Muscat, the highest jump in deaths was seen in the North Al Batinah Governorate, which reported 10 deaths. South Al Batinah Governorate recorded eight deaths, followed by Governorates of Dhofar and Al Dhahirah with two deaths each.

The following Governorates recorded one death each, North and South Al Sharqiyah, Dakhiliyah, Al Wusta and Al Buraimi. The Governorate of Musandam was the only governorate that reported zero deaths during the past three days.
