Muscat: As many as 3,217 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in Oman today, in addition to 52 new COVID-19-related death cases.
This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 284,905 in the Sultanate.
The total number of COVID-19-related death cases reached 3,423, the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry added that 7,125 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 257,689 recoveries.
The Ministry also pointed out that 137 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 1,391 of them 501 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
