When is Eid Al Adha?

Muscat: If the sighting of the moon is confirmed on Saturday, the first day of Eid Al Adha will fall next Tuesday, July 20. However, If sighting of the crescent is not confirmed, then Wednesday will be the first day of Eid.

"The Ministry of Awqaf calls on everyone to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu Al Hijah, on the evening of Saturday, July 10, 2021, with the need to adhere to the instructions issued by the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with developments resulting from the spread of COVID-19," The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) announced.

If the crescent is sighted, the ministry has asked people to contact the offices of their Excellencies the Walis on the following numbers:
