Muscat: Oman's citizens and residents who have received the first dose of an approved vaccine are allowed to travel on domestic flights to Salalah and Khasab Airports as of Friday, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), said in circular No.16/2021-COVID.
This is not applicable to residents of Dhofar and Musandam governorates.
This is based on the decision made by the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19 issued on Tuesday.
The decision will come into effect at 5 pm on Friday.
International travellers
Travellers from abroad who have received both doses of an approved vaccine are also allowed to take domestic flights to the two airports.
GCC citizens may also travel to Salalah and Khasab airports if they have received both doses of an approved vaccine.
Revision of travel blacklist
Travellers from the Arab Republic of Egypt are now allowed entry into Oman.
Those flying from the Republic of Singapore, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tunisian, the State of Libya, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Colombia and Brunei Darussalam, and those who have passed through any of these countries 14 days prior to requesting entry into Oman will be prohibited for doing so.
In addition, CAA has urged citizens not to visit these countries.
Categories exempted in previous circulars will remain the same.
