Thunderstorms accompanied by hail predicted over some parts of Oman

Muscat: Some parts of Oman may witness thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and hail on Thursday.

"The weather is cloudy to partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with a chance of isolated rainfall. There also may be convective cloud development and thunderstorms associated with strong winds and hail over the Al Hajar Mountains towards the afternoon," the Oman Meteorology said in a statement.

The Oman Meteorology added that late night to early morning low clouds or fog patches over Arabian Sea coasts also a possibility.
