Oman's Al-Sharqiya Aviation first to get five-bladed chopper in Middle East
The Airbus H145D3 will help the company support air medical ambulance services and marine operations

Muscat: Al-Sharqiya Aviation LLC (ASA), the first and only commercial helicopter operator in Oman, announced that it would shortly take delivery of its first Airbus H145D3 helicopter, leased from the Milestone Aviation Group Limited.

Not only is this the first five-bladed Airbus H145 for ASA, it is the first to be delivered to a customer in the Middle East.

Mr Tariq Al Barwani, CEO of AL-Sharqiya Aviation said, “AL-Sharqiya Aviation is thrilled to be the first operator of the five-bladed H145D3 variant in the Middle East. The H145D3 complements our fleet perfectly and fulfills a variety of mission profiles which match our overall business development objectives. We have been working closely with Milestone on this project and we are grateful to have Milestone as our leasing partner in this transaction where certainty of execution is critical to deliver for our customers”.

Adam Al Rashdi, commercial manager for ASA, said: "The helicopter enhances our capabilities to support various sectors such as Oil and Gas, Emergency Medical Services, and offshore operations. On top of that, the H145D3 builds on our passenger capabilities, as it can carry up to 8 passengers in addition to 2 captains."
