Muscat: Courts in Oman witnessed an increase in the number of cases received during the month of June, which was 2323 cases, compared to 2074 in May, with a daily average of more than 80.

According to the monthly statistics of the Public Prosecution, the number of judicial orders issued rose to 10,864 in June, compared to 8,388 in May. As for investigation reports, it rose to 8,414, compared to 5,720 in May.

The total number of complaints received electronically, also increased to 288, with a daily average of nine, while the number of requests received by the Auditors Service Department was 86, compared to 71 in May.

Last June, the Public Prosecution dealt with 2,615 accused, at a daily rate of about 87 accused, and three accused per hour. The number of judicial decisions issued increased to 2,755 decisions, compared to 1,799 decisions in May.
