Seeb records highest COVID-19 deaths in Oman today

Muscat: As many as 40 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Oman in the last 24 hours.

During the last 24 hours, Wilayat Seeb, Muscat Governorate, recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases which reached 242, while Wilayat Khasab, Musandam Governorate, recorded the lowest with only one case.

According to the statistics made available on (Tarassud +), the coronavirus monitoring app launched by the ministry, Muscat Governorate recorded the highest death toll with 15 deaths while Al Buraimi, Dakhiliyah and Musandam Governorates recorded zero deaths during the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that there are 40 deaths recorded among COVID-19 patients in Oman. Here is the list where it was recorded:

Muscat Governorate recorded 15 deaths

Wilayat Seeb: 6

Wilayat Bawshar: 5

Wilayat Al Amerat: 2

Wilayat Muttrah: 1

Wilayat Muscat: 1

North Al Batinah Governorate recorded 9 deaths

Wilayat Sohar: 4

Wilayat Al Suwaiq: 2

Wilayat Saham: 1

Wilayat Al Khaboura: 1

Wilayat Shinas: 1

South Al Batinah Governorate recorded 7 deaths

Wilayat Rustaq: 4

Wilayat Masnaah: 1

Wilayat Nakhal: 1

Wilayat Barka: 1

North Al Sharqiyah Governorate recorded 2 death

Wilayat Al Mudhaibi: 1

Wilayat Ibra: 1

Al Dhahirah Governorate recorded 2 deaths

Wilayat Ibri: 2

Dhofar governorate has 1 death

Wilayat Salalah: 1

Al Wusta Governorate had 1 death
