Alshawamikh Oil Services, Highwood Global sign strategic partnership

Muscat: To maintain high-level of service qualities for different operating companies in the oil concession areas, Alshawamikh Oil Services, one of the Super Local Community Contractor companies (SLCC), recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Highwood Global, a technological Canadian leading company in the design and metal fabrication industry.

The agreement will enable Alshawamikh Oil Services to include high-quality equipment and modern technologies that will serve its clients and meet its high-level standards and expectations for upcoming projects in different concession areas.

The partnership will also upscale the level of quality, speed and automation of services using the latest technologies in the energy sector meeting international standards keeping pace with the mission, vision and core values of Alshawamikh Oil Services.

Dr Aflah bin Saeed Al Hadhrami, CEO of Alshawamikh Oil Services, said, “The strategic partnership with Highwood Global will develop the local expertise and enhance the performance of Alshawamikh in the energy sector."

“By using the latest technology, we will be able to undergo projects that enhance the local added value in the energy sector and enable local companies to enhance their role in this vital sector,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that Alshawamikh Oil Services is one of the Super Local Community Contractor companies - a private national shareholding company with 100 per cent Omani ownership. It was established in 2011 through a Royal directive by late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may the Almighty rest his soul in peace, to create investment opportunities for citizens residing in the oil concession areas in the wilayats of Bahla and Adam which is on par with the Sultanate’s endeavours to enhance the local added value by empowering local companies in the oil and gas sector.

Dr Al Hadhrami expressed his deep gratitude to the shareholders of the company for their continuous support that has led to the progress of the company during the past period, which motivated it to do more to achieve its goals that are in - line with the Oman Vision 2040.

Alshawamikh Oil Services managed to qualify, train and employ several national cadres in the areas of the concession areas, in addition to supporting the activities of the local community socially, culturally and also in the communities' sports activities. This is in appreciation of its contributors amounting to 1,600 people from Bahla and Adam.

“The company's services locally and its access to regional markets in the field of energy as well as our capabilities in providing the best maintenance services, drilling and pipe supplies to local and foreign oil companies in different markets will be enhanced by the cooperation agreement with Highwood Global which is a strategic cornerstone that brings together experience and knowledge to Alshawamikh Oil Services,” Dr Al Hadhrami said.

“Our partnership with Highwood Global will contribute to the development and achievement of the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 in the oil and gas sector to reach self-sufficiency level in total dependence on local companies in the basic needs and services of companies operating in the concession areas,” he added.
