No closure of airports, lockdown planned currently for Oman: Minister of Health

Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health at the Supreme Committee meeting on Thursday said that if a complete lockdown is announced, it will be for the safety of our citizens.

Speaking about the lockdown he said, "Will neither confirm nor deny reports of a complete lockdown in Oman as it depends on the situation. If a complete lockdown is announced, it will be for the safety of our citizens."

Talking about closure of airports, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, said: "Currently no plan to close airports or enforce a complete lockdown in Oman, but future decisions based on the pandemic situation."
