Muscat: The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate has denied rumors that are being circulated on social media about the immunisation for people aged 20 years and over at Al Numan Palace Hall in the Wilayat of Barka. In a similar incident the Government Communications Centre (GC), has termed as fake news regarding rumours being circulated through social media about the availability of the self-registration service for immunisation for people aged under 45 years.
"The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate would like to draw your attention to what is being circulated regarding immunisation for the age group of 20 years and over in Al Numan Palace Hall in the Wilayat of Barka which is not true," the Directorate General said in a statement.
A statement issued online by the Government Communication Center (GC), said: "There is no truth to what is being circulated about the availability of the self-registration service for immunisation for those under 45 years old. Currently, the self-registration service is available for the target group of 45 years and over only."
