Thunderstorms expected over parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by fresh downward winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains on Wednesday.

 "The weather is partly cloudy skies along the coastal area of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman with a chance of convective cloud development and thunderstorms associated with fresh downward winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon," the Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

"Dust storms over deserts and open areas are expected. There are also chances of late night to early morning fog over parts of the Arabian Sea and the Oman Sea coasts," added the statement.
