More than 1,000 arrested in Oman

More than 1,000 expat workers have been arrested and another 569 have been deported within a week for violating Labour Laws.

The workers were arrested between March 15 and 21, 2019, the Ministry of Manpower revealed

During that period, 1,077 expats were arrested. Of the total violators, 548 were “freelance” workers and 454 had left their jobs

Muscat, recorded the highest number of arrests with 753, followed by Northern Al Batinah with 75.
