Muscat: Oman Cricket Academy will host the qualifiers for the World Cup in the T20 category.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "Oman Cricket Academy is working on providing professional training for its members of all age groups through highly qualified and experienced training staff in accordance with a scientific and technical strategy."
Pankaj Khimji, President of the Omani Cricket Club, said that the academy, with its high-level facilities and international stadiums, culminated in the International Cricket Council's accreditation of the academy's stadiums to host the qualifiers for the World Cup in the T20 category, which will be held in October and November.
In a statement to ONA, the Chairman added that the Cricket Academy seeks to make cricket a sport enjoyed by all Omani youth by achieving the goals for which the academy was established, most notably providing opportunities for cricket players to develop their skills and refine their talents.
