Madayn will transfer the gas distribution networks to OQ Gas Network

Muscat: Madayn will transfer ownership and operations of the gas distribution networks to OQ Gas Network.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "OQ Gas Networks and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) signed an agreement to transfer ownership and operations of the gas distribution networks of Madayn to the OQ Gas Network."

The agreement is expected to enhance the transportation and distribution of natural gas by transferring it to OQ Gas Networks, which will cover five industrial areas in Sur, Sohar, Rusayl, Nizwa and Raysut. This will provide service for 98 companies.

"The asset transfer agreement comes in line with Oman’s 2040 vision, which aims to unify national efforts and local assets to enhance the efficiency of the service sector in the Sultanate and achieve the best cost savings," added the statement.
