COVID-19: 70% of Oman's population to get vaccinated by December

Muscat: According to the current rate of vaccination, Oman will be able to vaccinate 70 per cent of the population with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine before December 23, 2021.

Till June 15, 2021, covidvax.live website data showed that 648,398 people in Oman have been vaccinated using 857,044 doses which equal 12.7 per cent of Oman's population.

They explained: "857,044 vaccines administered for COVID-19 in Oman, currently at a rate of about 0.39/second or 33,844 each day. That is about 16.8 doses per hundred people of a population totalling 5.11 million. At this rate, Oman could have 70 per cent of people vaccinated two doses in 186 days or by Dec 23, 2021."
