Muscat: The Minister for Foreign and European Affairs for the Republic of Malta arrived on Sunday for an official three-day visit to Oman.
A statement issued by Oman News Agency said: "Evarist Bartolo, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs in the Republic of Malta, has arrived on an official three-day visit to Oman."
During the visit, he will meet with some of Oman's officials and also conduct a political talk session.
"The minister and his delegation were received by Dr Khalid Said al-Jaradi, Head of the Protocols Department at the Foreign Ministry, and a number of other officials," added the statement.
His Excellency Eng Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed with Bartolo the promotion of trade between their two countries, according to the statement.
Bartolo also met with His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, and to talk about strengthening Oman's and Malta's cooperation in the field of investment, in a manner benefitting each country from the opportunities in the other, the statement added.
