Muscat: A renowned TV anchor, columnist and youth activist from Pakistan has come to Oman to interview Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate, on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
The ambassador warmly welcomed Makhdoom Shahabuddin, TV anchorperson at Hum News, who spoke to him on the ongoing Pakistan Day celebrations across the Sultanate. A final semester student of Engineering at National University of Science (NUST- Islamabad), Shahabuddin has also been acknowledged as ‘Best Speaker’ by the President of Pakistan for his oratory prowess. The visit aimed to highlight community-based initiates as well as the advantages of a strong relationship between the two countries.
During the exclusive interview recorded on March 23, the Ambassador discussed the complete spectrum of bilateral relations, highlighted community services and contributions and spoke about social initiatives including the WhatsApp Broadcast Group that has mustered 15,000 voluntary subscribers, the Young Pakistan Forum Oman (YPFO.pk), the Youth Empowerment Strategy (YES) and the Citizens Advisory Council (CAC).
The ambassador expressed appreciation for the Youth & Literary Wings of Pakistan Social Club with Qamar Riaz, Director Events, being the focal person in the effort. In addition, the interview described the strength of the bond between Pakistan and Oman in politics and leadership and the benefits of these to both states.
