Muscat: The Embassy of Japan in the Sultanate of Oman received a visit by two winners of Oman-Japan Essay Contest hosted by the Embassy on June 9, 2021.
During the cordial meeting held adhering to stringent COVID-19 countermeasures, His Excellency Kobayashi Toshinori, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, heard the stories which inspired the winners to write essays as well as their affection towards Japan.
After the Embassy put out a call for submissions of essay in Arabic under the theme ‘Oman-Japan relations’, it received a wide participation from the Omani society for its two categories of minors and adults. Lubaba Al Salami and Mariya Al Hooti were announced as winners
Ambassador Kobayashi, impressed by the level of vivid writings of Omanis, said that the first-ever Oman-Japan Essay Contest was a huge success.
He thanked all the participants for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn more about Japan and showed his confidence that Japan-Oman bilateral relationship would further enhance in the future.
