Field operations of Ras Al Harq fire end, no injuries reported

Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority has announced the end of the field operations at the site of the fire in Wilayat of Al Hamra.

Some wild trees in the mountainous terrain caught fire on Wednesday and the blaze quickly spread to a wider area.

"After the tireless efforts by our teams and various authorities from the Royal Oman Police, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Environment Authority and the volunteer teams, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority announces the end of field operations at the fire site in the Ras Al Harq area in the Wilayat of Hamra," the authority said in a statement.

No injuries have been reported, the statement added.
