Oman govt to pitch in for private sector pay

Muscat: The government will pitch in about OMR200 each for salaries of about 15,000 private sector jobs, the Minister of Labour said on Thursday.

"These will be temporary contracts, which is common across the world now, especially with remote and part-time work. Job seekers can earn and learn skills this way, until they find a more stable source of income," His Excellency Dr Mahad bin Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour, said in an interview with Oman TV.
