Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) concluded its participation in the joint (Tuwaik 2) exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The exercise was conducted from July 10 to 16 at Prince Sultan Air Base, with participation from armed forces from many countries.
Within the framework of the exercise, RAFO executed a number of joint operational military tasks backed by the Sultan of Oman's Parachute Regiment and the Sultan’s Special Force.
The joint operational military tasks were undertaken to achieve the aims of the exercise, in a manner that reflects RAFO’s readiness in conducting military operations in different circumstances and terrains, which is a testimony to its advanced capabilities and military skills, said a statement issued by Oman News Agency.
