This is the highest number of single-day deaths seen since the start of the pandemic

Muscat: At least 33 new deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Oman over the last 24 hours, making it the highest number of single-day deaths seen since the start of the pandemic. 2,126 cases of the disease were reported on Tuesday, 15 June 2021, according to the Oman News Agency. This brings the total number of positive cases in the country to 238,566, and also means that 2,565 people have unfortunately passed away from the disease.However, about 570 more people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries up to 212,064.According to the Ministry of Health, 164 more patients have been admitted to hospital over the last 24 hours, from complications due to COVID-19. There are currently 1,247 people hospitalised due to the coronavirus, and 374 of them are in intensive care.
