Oman sees increase in Covid-19 cases
For the first time in the Sultanate, the total number of Covid-19 inpatients reached 1,021

Muscat: For the first time in Oman, the total number of Covid-19 inpatients at hospitals has exceeded 1,000, an official from Ministry of Health (MOH) said on June 9, 2021.

An official from the Ministry of Health confirmed to Times of Oman that for the first time in the Sultanate, the total number of Covid-19 inpatients reached 1,021, including 329 cases in intensive care.

On June 9, 2021, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced the registration of 1,931 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases in the Sultanate to 228,579. The Ministry also recorded 14 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 2448, while the total number of recovery cases reached 206,844, a rate of 90.5 per cent.
