Oman's Foreign Minister signs agreement on Gulf Statistics Centre

Muscat: His Excellency, the Foreign Minister met with His Excellency, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and signed an agreement on the headquarters of the Gulf Statistics Centre.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency said: "His Excellency, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, discussed during his meeting with His Excellency Dr Nayef Al Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ways to enhance and develop areas of joint cooperation in the GCC and future joint projects."

"An agreement on the headquarters of the Gulf Statistics Centre was signed, due to the Sultanate's keenness to contribute to the development and promotion of joint Gulf action, to make Muscat the headquarters of the Gulf Statistics Centre, which aims to build the statistical and institutional capacities of the GCC countries," added the statement.
