Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) dealt with fewer fires in industrial facilities in 2020 as compared to previous year.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), dealt with 36 accidents in 2020, compared to 47 accidents in 2019 related to fires in industrial facilities."
ONA added that the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, represented by the Directorate General of Civil Protection, assured that it would set up preventive requirements and intensify inspection campaigns to ensure the safety of workers and visitors and to avoid accidents and heavy material losses.
