"His Excellency, the Minister of Foreign expressed the Sultanate's appreciation for the efforts of the United States that contributed to reaching a ceasefire. He stressed the Sultanate’s firm position on the centrality of the Palestinian issue to the stability of the region and the need to enable the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate aspirations to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as the capital on the basis of the principle of the two-state solution and relevant international legitimacy resolutions," the ministry added.

On the Yemeni crisis, the US Secretary of State expressed the United States' appreciation for the Sultanate's efforts in support of the US Special Envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking and UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, as the two sides stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to reach a cessation of war and military operations in a way that paves the way for peaceful solutions between the parties to the conflict through negotiations, achieving the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability, national unity and sovereignty of their lands.
