Royal Air Force of Oman conducts medical evacuation

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman has conducted a medical evacuation for a crew member of a transiting commercial ship belonging to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The ship was near the Wilayat of Qurayyat  in Muscat Governorate.

"A Royal Air Force of Oman aircraft carried out a medical evacuation at sea for a crew member of a transiting commercial ship belonging to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, 30 nautical miles east of the Wilayat of Qurayyat in the Governorate of Muscat. The plane transported the patient, who was in a critical condition, from the ship to Khawla Hospital in the Governorate of Muscat to receive the necessary treatment," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

ONA added that, this comes within the framework of the national services and humanitarian efforts provided by the Sultan's Armed Forces and other departments of the Ministry of Defence for citizens, residents, and those transiting the homeland along with the rest of the other government institutions.
