Closure of activities in Oman could return if precautions not followed
The Minister of Health stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to precautionary measures

Muscat: Activities that have been opened will be closed again if the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19 finds that precautionary measures are not adhered to.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency said: "His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, confirms that the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19 is very keen to consider all aspects that have been affected by this pandemic, whether economic, social, or health."

He explained in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the pandemic continues as the numbers of infections decreased before the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, but that the gatherings during that period led to an increase in the numbers, expressing his hope that this rise would be temporary.

He stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to precautionary measures, pointing out that the committee, in its statements, indicated that activities that were opened will be closed again if the precautionary measures are not adhered to.
