New oxygen tank to help serve patients in Dhofar

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) signed a funding agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Gulf Energy SAOC on Tuesday for the construction of a new oxygen tank with a capacity of 10,000L for the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Fatma bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs on behalf of the Ministry, Abul-Amir Abdul-Hussein Al-Ajmi, PDO External Affairs & Value Creation Director on behalf of PDO Company and Yasser Al-Baraami, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mubbadarah on behalf of Gulf Energy Company.

The MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs stressed on the importance of the partnership between government and other sectors in the Sultanate for the public interest, praising the good initiative of the two companies that are contributing to enhance the health service.

"We are delighted to sign this joint agreement to fund several projects of the Ministry of Health in the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah,” Eng. Abdul-Amir Al-Ajmi said. He added "PDO would like to thank Gulf Energy Company for its contribution in funding such health projects.”
 
For his part, Yasser Al-Baraami, CEO of Mubbadarah stressed that the Company's contribution is part of the social responsibility of the energy industry and geared at job creation for the Omani youth, as well as supporting the health sector and environment in Oman.
