Muscat: A virtual workshop was held on Sunday to discuss the modern criteria of health services with participation of specialists and health workers from various governorates of Oman.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and represented by the Directorate General of Planning and Studies (DGPS).
Dr Halima Qalam Al Hinai, DGPS Director-General said that the health policy in Oman attaches attention to providing health services and distributing them equitably for all regardless of the social and economic status and geographic location.
She added that the Government is committed to provide a high level of health services for all populations in the governorates.
On her turn, Asma Hamoud Al Harthi, Director of Planning reviewed the goals of planning criteria for health services, which is considered one of the health strategic programs of Oman Vision 2040.
The goals include achieving balanced health services with specific rates and criteria throughout the Sultanate to achieve overall health coverage.
