2,399 new coronavirus cases, 31 deaths reported in Oman

Muscat: As many as 2,399 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past 3 days, in addition to 31 new COVID-19-related death cases.

This brings the total number of positive cases to 216.183 in the Sultanate.

The total number of COVID-19-related death cases reached 2,334, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry added that 2,207 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 199,287 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 100 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 809 of them 242 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
