COVID-19: India records 165,000 new cases in 24 hours, lowest in 46 days

Muscat: The Republic of India has registered more than 165,000 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 46 days.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "Today, the Indian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 165,553 new cases of Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections in India to 27.8 million people."

"The Hindustan Times newspaper reported that India had recorded 3,460 deaths during the past 24 hours, which brought the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 until this morning to 325,972 cases."

"The new cases of Coronavirus recorded today are the lowest in India in 46 days," the statement added.
