National Committee for Disabled Care held meeting
Muscat: The National Committee for Disabled Care held today it's first meeting on Wednesday to discuss students with intellectual disabilities.
The National Committee for Disabled Care held today it's first meeting of the current year, during which discussed the decisions on issues in regards to the educational integration program for students with intellectual disabilities who have completed the ninth grade and the professional integration program for people with disabilities in Vocational Colleges and the media plan to spread awareness about the rights of people with disabilities.

The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency Laila Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development and Chair of the Committee, in the presence of the committee members, at the Ministry of Social Development Headquarters.
During the meeting the activities of the National Committee for Disabled Care for the year 2022, and persons with disabilities in regards to the Basic Law of the State, Oman Vision 2040, and the Tenth Five-Year Plan, in addition to the training and employment program in the stimulus and economic diversification plan.
The meeting also included discussions on the decision on the unified guide law to enable people with disabilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, health visits to rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities in the various governorates of the Sultanate, the development of early detection mechanisms, and the development of some facilities provided to people with disabilities, in addition to mechanisms for persons with disabilities to benefit from training and employment programs. The statement added, “the committee members were also briefed on the most important developments related to persons with disabilities.”
