Manama: Bahrain announces strict regulations to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including closing most commercial activities and schools and implementing remote work from home for 70% of the government sector employees.
A statement issued by Bahrain News Agency, (BNA), said: “The National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) announced an updated on COVID-19 response which includes, increasing the capacity for the number of daily vaccination doses administered, increasing the use of rapid examination in order to identify existing cases, update protocols for dealing with existing cases and people who made contact.”
This also included Taking auditable measures related to closing sectors and activities, excluding some basic sectors starting from twelve o'clock at night on Thursday, May 27, 2021, till twelve at night, on Thursday, June 10, 2021, this meant closing all non-essential commercial activities, schools and educational and training institutions, in addition to a ban on sports activities and special events. Remote work from home will be implemented in the public sector, at a rate of 70%.
“With the continuation of work in the basic necessary sectors, according to the previous measures and regulation that have been taken previously” added the statement.
