Dust storms forecast over some parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of dust storms rising over deserts and open areas in Oman as temperatures reached 50 degree Celsius in Sohar, North Al-Batinah Governorate.

Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of convective clouds developing over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon. Dust rising is expected over deserts and open areas. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog along parts of the coasts of Arabian Sea ."

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 45 degree Celsius and 33 degrees respectively in Muscat, 50 degrees and 30 degrees in Sohar, 43 degrees and 24 degrees in Haima, 43 degrees and 27 degrees in Nizwa, 43 degrees and 30 degrees in Ibri, and 40 degrees and 23 degrees in Thamrait.
