Muscat: The Royal Oman Police participated in the thirty-fourth meeting of airport security officials for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
A statement issued online by the Royal Oman Police said: "The Royal Oman Police participated in the thirty-fourth meeting of airport security officials in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held within the scope of the General Secretariat of the GCC through a visual conference. The Sultanate’s side was chaired by Colonel Abdullah bin Salim Al Nuaimi, Director General of Airport Security. The meeting touched on many issues related to airport security.
The statement added that the ROP also participated in the eighth meeting of the committee of heads of sports federations in the GCC countries, which was held within the scope of the General Secretariat of the GCC through a visual conference, which dealt with many issues related to sports tournaments and competitions of police federations in the GCC countries. The meeting was attended by Colonel. Eng Hammoud bin Khamis Al Yaqoubi, Chairman of the Police Sports Federation.
