Muscat: The Kingdom of Bahrain announced the suspension of entry for travellers visiting from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, on all flights starting today.
A statement issued online by Bahrain New Agency (BNA), said: According to the Government Executive Committee directives and based on the recommendations of the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting COVID-19, the Civil Aviation Affairs, today announced the suspension of entry for travellers arriving from red list countries, namely; India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, on all flights starting Monday, 24 May 2021.
However Bahraini citizens and residency visa holders are not subject to the suspension. They will be allowed after showing an approved PCR test certificate conducted no more than 48 hours prior to boarding and undertake another PCR test on arrival and on the 10th day of stay. In addition, citizens and residency visa holders must follow home quarantine for 10 days or at a licensed quarantine facility approved by the National Health Regulatory Authority.
Similarly, vaccinated or non-vaccinated passengers arriving from countries other than the red list will have to present an approved PCR test certificate done 48 hours prior to boarding and undertake another test on the 10th day of home or institutional quarantine.
